Image by UggBoy♥UggGirl [ PHOTO // WORLD // TRAVEL ] Warsaw (Polish: Warszawa [varˈʂava] is the capital and largest city of Poland. Warszawianka 鳷1) (French: La Varsovienne) is widely considered the unofficial anthem of Warsaw. On 9 November 1940 the City of Warsaw was awarded the highest military decoration for courage in the face of the enemy – Order Virtuti Militari for the heroic defence in 1939.
Warsaw is also known as the "phoenix city", as it recovered from extensive damage during World War II (during which 80% of its buildings were destroyed), being rebuilt with the effort of Polish citizens. Warsaw has given its name to the Warsaw Confederation, Warsaw Pact, the Duchy of Warsaw, Warsaw Convention, Treaty of Warsaw and the Warsaw Uprising.

This pattern is absolutely meant for Malabrigo Organic Cotton. I LOVE knitting with this yarn (as far as cottons go, it’s fab) and can’t wait to make more of these. I also really dig these colors together.

Here is my photo junk, I got some new stuff, moved around some existing stuff and generally spent some time cleaning things up. I decided to take a photo since everythings all spiffy organized now.
NOTE: This photo is kinda out of date… things tha thave changed include adding another White Lighting X1600, an extra large softbox, a bunch of new grip gear (Avenger C Stands, Manfrotto Boom Stand, etc.).
Not everything goes every place, I often pick select items or cases and take just what I need. I have links to seperate photos of each case with more detailed information with what’s in each case on the photo as notes.
NOTE: This photo made it into Flickr’s ‘Explore" as one of the top five hundred most interesting photos on a particular day, which makes me somewhat sad as the actual resulting photos didn’t make it, ha! You can see all of my photo’s that have made it into the Flickr Explore pages here.
Dish uses the same technique as these ones and has similarities with this model by Philip Shen. Also a Toledo star can be seen on the CP.
Mine has curved edges I’m rather satisfied with.

Not new, a diagram I did last year for the Christmas book of the english origami forum. It was under embargo until february, now I can publish it.
Max gets confused

He was really confused when he finally noticed that his food dish was no longer in the cage. (It took him a while to notice)
Image by T.MoE Happy new year everyone! New Year’s Day has left me behind with a running nose and a sore throat. That means no smoking at all (man, that´s hard!!) and drinking a lot of tea! This one is made out of fresh mint leaves.. yummy!!

A ghostly double exposure was used to capture this self portrait on Polaroid 55 high contrast film.
1st exposure: background lit by florescent light
2nd exposure: strobe light no ambient at the same f-stop.

Shannon was gracious enough to let me sort out the lighting. This is a combination of shade and reflected light off the house. I played around with manual, but couldn’t get the flash dialed in the way I wanted. Finally admitted defeat, switched to aperture priority and put the flash in TTL mode. The former name, lotnisko Okęcie (Okęcie airport), remains in common use, including air traffic and aerodrome references.
Warsaw Airport handles approximately 100 scheduled flights daily and an ever rising number of charters. London, Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam are the busiest international connections, while Kraków, Wrocław and Gdańsk are the most popular domestic ones.
Terminals Description:
Terminal 1 was built in 1992. Initially it handled all the traffic, but now it is serving mainly low-cost airlines (since the closing of Etiuda Terminal in March, 2009) and some other carriers (mainly SkyTeam alliance members).
Terminal 2 is a new terminal which became fully operational on March 12, 2008, two years after the originally planned opening date. The arrivals area was in operation from mid-2007 but problems with safety certification and disagreements between the airport and the construction firm delayed full operation. The new terminal is considerably larger than the older Terminal 1 and has taken over departures for all Star Alliance and OneWorld airlines and a few other carriers.
The new Southern Pier of the T1+T2 complex is currently under construction.

You can’t imagine a world, quite frankly, without a safe and secure aviation system. And so our job is to really focus on that, and what we need to do to keep it safe and secure.
